New study invites ECEC professionals to help shape future health literacy support

The Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) is pleased to support a research initiative led by Edith Cowan University, inviting early learning professionals to participate in a 90-minute online conversation about strengthening health literacy support across the sector.

Participants will be invited to discuss health literacy in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) settings, including the resources they use, challenges or gaps in support, and the professional learning and resources they would find most valuable.

By sharing their practical experiences, participants can help inform future health literacy initiatives and professional learning opportunities across the sector.

Participants only need to attend one 90-minute online conversation, held via Microsoft Teams, with two dates available:

  • Tuesday 24 November: 1:00 pm (AEDT) / 10:00 am (AWST)
  • Monday 30 November: 5:00 pm (AEDT) / 2:00 pm (AWST)

The consultation is also open to family day care educators and coordinators, as well as professionals involved in preparing or supporting ECEC educators.

We encourage service providers to share this opportunity with their educators, educational leaders and centre directors/managers, and support interested team members to participate.

A special thank you for participating

The first 30 eligible participants who register and attend will receive a complimentary set of Little Aussie Bugs books.

The books will be allocated based on registration order, confirmation of eligibility and attendance. Eligible participants will be contacted directly by the research team to arrange delivery.
