Advocacy
The ACA’s advocacy work includes:
  • regular engagement with members to identify emerging trends and major issues affecting their delivery of early learning services
  • regular research and analysis of issues affecting the early learning sector, including government policy and legislation
  • actively responding to critical issues that impact the quality of early learning services that our members provide, as well as the viability of the long day care sector
  • active engagement with government to lobby for the best outcome in the provision of high quality, affordable, sustainable and accessible early learning services
Member support
 
The ACA supports its members through their state bodies by:
  • Providing regular communications which cover the latest news updates, upcoming training opportunities and the latest business operations tools available
  • Providing high quality professional development services such as training events, annual conferences, Peer to Peer Networking sessions
  • Providing members with discounted or preferential access to key sector suppliers
  • Offering members tailored telephone support and providing advice on:
    • Employment law, awards and regulations
    • Occupational health and safety
    • National Quality Framework
    • How to engage and resolve issues with government departments
The ACA services each state and territory via its State Bodies, to provide tailored products and services that support members in the effective delivery of quality long day care early learning services for their local community.
